1. Introduction

ABOUT EKIT

Ekit was a global provider of integrated travel communications with products like mobile phones and SIM cards. Ekit’s products were available online and in all major US airports under the GO-SIM and Telestial brands.

In addition to retail, ekit products were also distributed via travel partners like Flight Centre, Contiki, etc.

ekit was acquired by the JT group in 2011 and ran for ten more years when the brand was officially absorbed by JT.

MY WORK

As the Design and Web Manager, I was in charge of ekit’s online presence across different brands within Australia, the USA and the UK. I created a wide range of design projects for different mediums, including retail, web, and print media. Some of the brands I worked with include Flight Centre, Student Flights and Contiki Travel.

ekit products were available across multiple airports in the US, the UK and Australia.

3. Print

Travel partners material

One of ekit’s main channels of distribution was via travel organisations. I designed and distributed printed material in the form of vouchers, brochures and posters using each partner’s brand and visual identity.

4. Web & digital

ekit Websites

ekit products were sold online under 2 different brands, Telestial and GO-SIM. Each brand had its own website, Telestial in the US and Canada and GO-SIM in Australia.

I was responsible for both sites in terms of design and content plus I also designed several new interfaces and screens.

Telestial and GO-SIM continue to operate but each owned by a different company.
