1. Introduction
ABOUT SOCIO CUERVO
Puntos Net is a marketing company based in Mexico City. They developed and ran a program for Jose Cuervo, one of the biggest Tequila companies in Mexico. The program ‘Socio Cuervo’ ran for several years and engaged with their wholesalers and distribution partners.
MY WORK
As part of Puntos Net, I worked in the Socio Cuervo program for most of its life. My work covered a wide range of projects and mediums, from editorial design to animation and illustration. This allow me to gain invaluable experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate and InDesign software but most importantly it gave my creativity free reign.
2. El Graznido magazine
El Graznido
Puntos Net published a monthly magazine, ‘El Graznido’ for Jose Cuervo’s program ‘Socio Cuervo’. I was part of a team of three designers in charge of designing and printing the magazine. I worked on the editorial design on several pages including the illustrations and some of the advertisements.
I was also involved in the pre-press process which I several times was in charge of.
El Graznido ran for 5 years for a total of 32 numbers .

El Graznidito was a kids activity supplement included in El Graznido magazine. I was part of the team of designers working on these pages for which I was also the lead illustrator.

3. Comic book
About Capitan Cuervo
One of El Granido’s most popular sections was an eight-page comic strip about a masked superhero named ‘Capitan Cuervo’. As part of the design team working on the magazine, I oversaw ‘Capitan Cuervo’, from initial concept to storyboarding, drawing, inking, colouring and final design. I hand drew and coloured every panel using watercolours and used Photoshop to add the dialogs and to prepare the pages for print.

Puntos Net maintained a website for Jose Cuervo’s program ‘Socio Cuervo’. The homepage of the website displayed a short video/animation which was updated every month. Below are a few examples of the animations I created using a combination of original drawings, Adobe Animate and After Effects.
